The College Club Scholarship

| Description: | In the Spring of 1986 the fund awarded a modest grant of $500 to one Boston Public High School senior. Since that time the number of scholarships and the amounts have increased so that recently the size of our awards has grown and the number of recipients has increased. In addition, each year we award a grant to the Community Music Center, an organization supported by The College Club of Boston for many years. |
| Eligibility: | To be eligible for the awards, students must be admitted to an accredited college or university, junior college or school of fine arts or music. In addition, students must have demonstrated scholastic ability and have been active in school and/or community affairs. |
| Criteria: | Selection based on a personal statement, grades, participation in school activities, and letters of recommendation from a teacher and from an employer and/or an adult in applicant's community describing applicant's contribution as a worker or volunteer |
