Carol DiMaiti Stuart Scholarship

Sponsored by The Carol DiMaiti Stuart Foundation
Description: The Carol DiMaiti Stuart Foundation, a tax-exempt public charity, was established on January 25, 1990 in memory of Carol DiMaiti Stuart by her parents, Evelyn and Giusto DiMaiti, and her brother Carl to provide scholarship assistance to young people from Boston's Mission Hill area and to fund activities involving the amelioration of racism and violence in Boston. Carol DiMaiti Stuart was an exceptional young woman who, at the time of her tragic death, was a Boston attorney; a recipient of scholarship assistance, she was an honors graduate of Boston College and Suffolk Law School and was completing a graduate program in tax law at Boston University School of Law. Known by colleagues, friends and family as bright, compassionate and dynamic, Carol DiMaiti Stuart showed her commitment to community through pro bono legal assistance to those less fortunate; the Foundation seeks to honor Carol's life and continue her positive influence through its focus on scholarships.
