George Coleman Scholarship

Description: In an effort to promote and reward academic excellence and the pursuit of a post-secondary degree, the New England Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers solicits from professional high school guidance personnel the names of and recommendations for a high school graduate who will be enrolling in a NEACRAO member institution in September of the upcoming year.
Eligibility: One scholarship will be given to a high school graduate who will attend a private four-year college or university. A second scholarship will be given to a high school graduate who will attend a public four-year college or university. A third scholarship will be given to a high school graduate who will attend a community college.
Criteria: 1. the potential of the candidate to succeed in a post- secondary academic environment. 2. the high school academic record of the candidate - the applicant must have earned a high school grade point average of at least a 3.00 (based on a 4.00 system - or its otherwise equivalen.
Selection: candidates who are recommended by New England secondary school guidance professionals, and The Committee, which is composed of the most recent five Past Presidents of NEACRAO, will communicate its decision.
