Description:	The $1,500 John F. Kennedy Scholarship is awarded each year to one male and one female in a ceremony held at the Massachusetts Democratic State Convention, which will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2009 in Lowell.
Eligibility:	You must be a Massachusetts resident. You must currently be enrolled in a college or university in the US and be entering your third or fourth year of study in the fall of 2005. You must demonstrate a serious commitment to the study of American politics. You must be qualified to receive financial aid as certified by the Financial Aid Officer at your college or university. Preference will be given to registered Democrats with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Criteria:	Must be an entering Junior or Senior Year of college between the ages of 18 and 23 and Massachusetts resident. The student must have a GPA of B or better, demonstrate financial need, have served community service, demonstrate political involvement and have a major in political science, government, or history.
