Boston Securities Traders Foundation Scholarship

Sponsored by City of Boston Scholarship Fund and BSTF
Description: The City of Boston Scholarship Fund, through grants made by the BSTF, established the Boston Securities Traders Foundation Scholarship in December 2004. This scholarship will be awarded annually to a qualifying recipient. It is the hope of the BSTF that this grant will continue in perpetuity and will help benefit many of the deserving college bound students of Boston. The BSTF named scholarship will be awarded to a qualifying applicant who intends to pursue a business or finance major. The City of Boston Scholarship Committee is solely responsible for choosing the annual recipient.
Eligibility: The applicant -Must be a legal resident of the City of Boston for at least two years as of January 1st of the year of application. -Must be a high school graduate or have completed a G.E.D. by the time of the award. -Must demonstrate a minimum of a B average for the last two years of High School. -Must demonstrate a record of community service of at least two years of unpaid work to benefit the community. In order to promote and continue this community service the applicant must be accepted by and attend a post-secondary institution within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. -Must submit a full and complete application, including a personal statement and letters of recommendation. -Must demonstrate financial need.
