| Description: | The JGMPC Scholarship was established to serve as a continuing memorial to the ministry of the John Gloucester Memorial Presbyterian Church and to John Gloucester, the first Black ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church. The Scholarship Fund embodies the desire and intention of the Church’s Session and congreg that, following the closing of the church in 2000 ministry and presence in the community continue perpetually to provide scholarships for members of the community who may be eligible. |
