| Eligibility: | Eligible applicants must be African-American female college students in her sophomore, junior or senior year majoring in the area of Social Sciences with a Grade Point Average of 3.0 or better. Applicants must be a resident of Massachusetts or attend an accredited college/university in Massachusetts and demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and an established commitment to community service. |
| Criteria: | A completed and clearly printed or typed scholarship application; A typed, double-spaced essay of no more than 500 words (see application for topic); An official transcript; Two letters of recommendation addressing your academic achievement and community service involvement (one recommendation must be from a professor, advisor or school official |
