Description: Boston University will award 20-25 full-tuition scholarships to seniors graduating from Boston Public High Schools. Schools are invited to nominate up to 10 students with high academic merit and leadership ability for the scholarships. Recent recipients’ average high school GPA: 3.76; average rank in class: top 4 percent; average combined SAT: 1865; Average ACT: 24
Eligibility: City of Boston resident, graduate of a Boston public high school; U.S. resident or permanent resident or eligible noncitizens
Criteria: Nomination by a guidance counselor of Boston public high school; minimum GPA of 3.0; top 10 percent rank in class; combined SAT score of 1650 or higher and results of two SAT Subject Tests or ACT (with Writing Test) of 24 or higher; admitted to and enrolled in an undergraduate, degree-granting program at Boston University; age 23 or under; interview with Admissions staff required.
Selection: Selection by committee from BU Office of Admissions, Boston School Department and City of Boston
Award: Full tuition for 4 years; must maintain 2.30 GPA for renewal on 12 completed credits per semester
