Employee Requirements (BYCC)

Workers will be paid only for hours worked

All crews are to follow the programs work schedule, any unauthorized breaks or alterations of the work schedule without permission of your Neighborhood Supervisor or other BYF management will result in a verbal warning. If any crew receives more than two verbal warnings your crew will be reprimanded by the Executive Director or his designee with the appropriate penalty.

Shirts are provided by the BYF, the shirts are part of the program uniform and will be worn at all times while working. These T-shirts are not to be altered in any way; workers will not be allowed to work if the requirements are not followed.

BYF employees are required to wear long pants, no shorts may be worn during program hours. Anyone wearing shorts will be sent home without pay.

Any tool which is deliberately broken by a worker, will result in a deduction in pay from that worker's paycheck and possible dismissal from the program.

All youth employees who are intending to be late or absent, must call the program base, those who are intending to be late must find their own transportation to the work site/ The number to call is (617)635-4202. A staff member will record your name and work site and forward the information to your supervisor, if you receive a recording please leave your name and work site.

Workers may not bring or have radio, walkman, discman, etc. while at work.

NO SMOKING is allowed during BYF work hours, only during break time and only if you are legal age.
