Projects Learning takes place both in and outside of the classroom. Check out the great projects created by youth which highlight their learning experiences. After-School iMovie Grant Project Because of the success of the Digital Environmental Adventure pilot program (see below), the City and Apple Computer designed a grant program that allowed 10 local 501c3 organizations to receive iMovie technology for use in their after-school programs. All of the grant recipients were required to participate in an iMovie contest. The contest theme was Landmarks of the City. The theme was meant to encompass learning about Boston's History, architecture, and local lore. Each organization designed their movie in their own unique way. Digital Environmental Adventure The Digital Environmental Adventure, was a six-week summer program where youth got the opportunity to learn about Boston's environment from experts in the field. They have documented their learning experiences by creating web pages and I-movies for all to view.
